Cerca dos Pomares is a small community away from mass tourism. The area is wooded with gently undulating evergreens The closest town is Aljezur, it has a post office, banks, restaurants, shops, and a fresh fish and vegetable market… and it’s only 5 km away. Travel distance to the nearest beaches is approximately 12 km.
The House

The house in Cerca dos Pomares is a typical Portuguese country house with charm and character. It is divided into 2 Apartments – Casa Alma and Casa Rosa. The apartments can be booked as single entities (for 2-3 guests each) or joined as a holiday home (for 4-6 guests).
Whether as a holiday home, winter residence, honeymoon suite, creative space or retreat for stressed city dwellers, the 2 apartments offer ideal and flexible accommodation for adventurers of all stripes: people in need of rest and sun worshippers, young and old love, anglers, mermaids, surfers and cyclists, hikers, nature lovers, and explorers.

The charming traditional Portuguese country house is lovingly decorated with artistic elements. Tile mosaics on floors and walls, wrought iron gates and fencing, and natural stone steps and terraces give the house a very special character.
Both apartments – Casa Alma and Casa Rosa – have private access and entrance, as well as separated terraces and outdoor spaces, ensuring the guest’s privacy. In case the apartments are booked conjointly, the outdoor areas can be connected and collectively enjoyed.
The plants typical for the region such as lavender, aloe vera, oleander, olive and date palm trees give it the perfect southern flair.
The apartments are not only a wonderful holiday accommodation for the summer, long-term winter rentals are also possible. In winter the apartments are heated by a large, tilled fireplace with seating located in the heart of the house and equipped with warm air drafts that heat all divisions comfortably and sustainably.

Casa Alma
Facing south-east, this apartment offers its guests a lot of light and sun. The large, partially covered terrasse out front offers a great view of the lush nature of the surrounding area. Garden furniture is provided, and the large barbecue area invites you to cozy evenings under the stary sky.
At about 35 sqm, Casa Alma comprises a spacious living and dining room with an open kitchen and a bedroom with a double bed and a single raised bed. The bathroom is located outside the house and is accessible through a private passage.
The daily rent for 2 guests is 37,00€, a 3rd guest (e.g. child) is subjected to an additional charge of 5,00€. All utilities are included.
Casa Alma is fully furnished and equipped. The furniture is simple, individually designed, and made of light wood. The kitchen is equipped with a 4-burner gas stove with oven, kettle, coffee maker, fridge, and all necessary cooking and kitchen utensils. In the living area is a home sound system, a TV (via satellite), and access to the internet (LAN & WIFI). Bed linen, blankets, pillows and mosquito nets for the beds as well as shower towels are provided. The external bathroom has a toilet, sink and, shower.

Casa Rosa
Facing north-west, this apartment offers its guests wonderful afternoon and evening sun starting at midday and morning freshness, which is very pleasant especially in the hot summer months. Early risers can enjoy the morning sun on the adjacent terrace. A second, smaller abundantly planted terrace at the apartment entrance provides a pleasant ambiance for meals and relaxation. Garden furniture, as well as a charcoal grill, are provided.
At about 45 sqm, Casa Rosa comprises an eat-in kitchen, a spacious corridor with a walk-in closet, and a large living/bedroom on the first floor. There is an additional single raised bed above the kitchen/dining area.
The bathroom is located outside the house and is accessible from the kitchen/dining room and from the first floor, via the adjacent terrace. The bathroom has a toilet, shower and hot tub ,and a sink, towels are provided.
The daily rent for 2 guests is 42,00 €, a 3rd guest (e.g. child) is subjected to an additional charge of 5,00€. All utilities are included.
